About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Functional Consultant with deep expertise in SFMC to join our growing team.
In this high-impact, client-facing role, you will blend strategic advisory, technical solutioning, and hands-on leadership across CRM and marketing automation projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them from requirements discovery through to implementation, while managing WIP and collaborating closely with cross-functional delivery teams.
Responsibilities
Lead discovery sessions, gather detailed requirements, and provide expert-level guidance on best practices across customer journeys, personalization, and data strategy.
Document functional specifications and collaborate on solution design, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution.
Manage and prioritize WIP across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication of progress and roadblocks.
Work cross-functionally with developers, architects and project managers to implement Salesforce solutions.
Perform basic configuration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud components such as Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and CloudPages.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, go-live planning, and post-launch optimization.
Continuously monitor campaign and platform performance, providing solution optimization recommendations post-launch to drive client success.
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and long-term success.
What You Need to Have
Essential Skills
5+ years' experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst, with a strong focus on Salesforce solutions.
Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud configuration and implementation.
Experience with Marketing Cloud Personalization is preferred.
Willingness to work and learn on Data Cloud, CRM Cloud, or other Salesforce-related projects as client needs evolve.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills; able to lead workshops, present confidently, and influence decisions.
Demonstrated ability to manage WIP and balance multiple priorities in fast-paced, Agile environments.
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Business Analyst, Administrator) are highly preferred.
Strong understanding of data flows, customer segmentation, automation processes, and campaign performance metrics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Sales/Service Cloud, CDPs, or third-party platforms.
Familiarity with other marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Braze, CleverTap, or Mailchimp.
